You may be surprised to hear this next statistic, but every 14 minutes someone in the United States dies by suicide. It is the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S. and it's continuing to rise. The American Foundation for suicide prevention has been working to prevent suicide since 1987. Steve Iseline, board chair of the local chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and his daughter Maureen Iseline give us more insight.
