Worker critically hurt in fall

A construction worker was critically hurt Monday afternoon when he fell out of a bucket lift near the intersection of 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, fire officials said.
D.C. Fire and EMS spokesman Pete Piringer said the man fell from a height of two or three stories. He was taken to a trauma center with what were described as life-threatening injuries.
It's unclear what the man was doing at the time of the incident.
No further information was immediately available.
