Frederick County authorities say the drowning of a six-year-old boy at a pool on Saturday has been ruled accidental.
On Saturday, at approximately 3:54 p.m. the Frederick County Sheriff's Office responded to a CPR call in the 4000 block of Cove Court in Monrovia.
Authorities say a boy from Catonsville was at a cookout with his family there when two adults sitting near the pool saw the boy submerged in the water.
The boy was pulled from the water and CPR was administered on him.
Emergency crews transported the boy to Frederick Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
