Metro to close five stations this weekend
September 3, 2010 - 08:25 am
Five Metro stations will be closed this weekend to allow for track switch repairs on the Red Line.
Takoma, Silver Spring, Forest Glen, Wheaton, and Glenmont stations will close at 10 p.m. Friday and reopen on Tuesday morning.
WMATA will provide shuttle bus service from Fort Totten and Georgia Avenue stations to relay riders to the appropriate station. Riders are advised to give themselves an extra 40 minutes to move through the work area.
