MPD: Man shot in Northeast

Metropolitan Police Department says a man was shot in the back in Northeast early Tuesday.

It happened in the 3900 block of Clay Place.

The victim was conscious and breathing as he was transported to a local hospital, police said.

No word on the victim's condition.
