Celebrate Thanksgiving with the turkeys
November 23, 2010 - 05:37 am
At Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary in Poolesville, Maryland, turkeys are the guests of honor during Thanksgiving, not the main dish. All six turkeys currently living on the non-profit's 400 acre plot of land celebrate the holiday just like most of us do; surrounded by a vast amount of food and loved ones. As TBD's Sara Kenigsberg discovers, these turkeys also have a lot to be thankful for.
