Jack Johnson spoke briefly at a news conference after he was released. One of his attorneys is behind him.

An inside look at the evidence the government has against Jack and Leslie Johnson details the hiding of money in underwear at the time of the arrest -- and flushing a check down a toilet.

Investigators say they have evidence as far back as 2007 showing Johnson was on the take. By September of 2009, wiretaps were authorized. Today in the criminal complaint, prosecutors reveal shocking details about what they saw and heard today.

Tonight a somber Jack Johnson wasn't talking.

Today, when Johnson was secretly caught on camera receiving another $15,000 from the same developer, FBI agents raided the meeting.

Johnson "told FBI investigators that the cash was for a party" -- for his retirement -- not knowing the whole thing had been caught on camera.

He was released, but he soon took a call from his wife. The FBI was at their front door, she told him. Johnson allegedly told her "don't answer it." He then instructed her to find and rip up a check from the developer. A check for $100,000.

The charging document says she asks "do you want me to put it down the toilet?" Then "agents overheard a flushing toilet."

Leslie Johnson is also heard asking "if she should take 'the cash out of here too.' Jack Johnson replied 'yes.'"

Johnson later allegedly told his wife "put it in your bra and walk out or something. I don't know what to do."

When the FBI got inside the house, Leslie Johnson was searched. Today's criminal complaint says that's when the agents found $79,600 in cash hidden in her lingerie.
