Teen says school security guard punched her, sending her to the hospital
November 26, 2010 - 11:55 pm
A 15-year-old girl says a school security guard swung on her, punching her with a fist and sending her to the hospital.
It all happened Tuesday at Wise High School in Upper Marlboro.
School officials dispute the student's account. They say the girl refused the principal's order to leave a classroom when she was caught using her cell phone in class.
The girl was restrained for her own safety and the safety of others, according to a statement from the Prince George's County Schools.
In this video, ABC 7's Sam Ford talks with the 10th-grader and her parents.
