Police, families continue search for two missing moms in D.C.
Two young mothers from the same neighborhood, are missing in DC, leaving two families to wonder what happened.
Unique Harris, 24, vanished from her apartment in the 2400 block of Hartford Street, SE, on October 9, leaving behind her two little boys, 4 and 5.
In August, Latisha Frazier, 18, was last seen near 18th and Trenton, SE, about a mile away from where Harris disappeared. She left behind a three-year-old daughter.
Harris had been home with the boys and an 11-year-old niece, who was sleeping over. When the children woke up, she was gone.
Harris' mother said her purse with credit cards and money still there. And most alarming, her eyeglasses were left behind even though she is extremely near-sighted.
Frazier never picked up a paycheck from her job.
The families of both missing moms have kept up the vigil looking for them and have passed out fliers with photos and identifying information. They have worked closely with police in the investigations and have praised the police efforts.
But they say it's difficult to keep their hopes alive.
