Track fire, switch malfunction blamed for Metro commuter chaos

A fire in a track bed light at Metro Center began a cascade of commuter woes Monday morning. It was followed by a switch malfunction on the Blue and Orange lines, halting service between Foggy Bottom and Federal Triangle.
