Suspicious package at D.C. Homeland Security office cleared

The Associated Press is now reporting that the FBI says a package that prompted the evacuation of D.C.'s Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency is not a threat and is not related to letters that ignited in Maryland and D.C. last week.
The letter was addressed to the hazmat office within the building, ABC7 reports.

D.C. police and fire officials are investigating a suspicious package or envelope at the D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency at 2720 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. SE.
The building is home to the citywide call center.
