In an interview with ABC7's Britt McHenry in Dallas, where the Redskins owner is participating in Super Bowl-related activities, Snyder was asked why he chose to sue the City Paper and its freelance sports columnist, Dave McKenna. The lawsuit cites "lies, half-truths, innuendo and anti-Semitic imagery."

Snyder responded, "Number one, my father was a journalist and I've never sued any member of the media, but when someone calls you a criminal and someone makes fun of your wife, who's fighting breast cancer and is a national spokesperson for the National Football League on breast cancer awareness, you sit there and you say, 'Enough is enough. What's right is right, what's wrong is wrong'. And that's what it's all about. It has nothing to do with the media coverage that's been critical, you know, I take that everyday. That's normal. But you can't cross the line, and what's right is right and what's wrong is wrong."
