Shanahan on McNabb: 'We'll let the process take care of itself'

With an NFL lockout looming, uncertainty still reigns around whether or not Donovan McNabb will be with the Washington Redskins for the 2011 season.
Pro Football Talk reports, through Redskins.com, that Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan talked to Fletcher Smith, McNabb's agent, about the quarterback's future with the franchise.
"We'll let the process take care of itself," Shanahan said.
McNabb threw for 3,377 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2010. He was benched with less than two minutes to play in the Redskins 37-25 Week 8 loss at Detroit and did not play in the team's last three games.
