Carla Hall eliminated from 'Top Chef'; Mike Isabella remains
March 10, 2011 - 12:23 pm
Last night, local chef and caterer Carla Hall was told to pack her knives and go.
According to Missy Frederick of the Washington Business Journal, Hall's exit was not completely certain before the night's judges' table: "Hall couldn't overcome the error of undercooked pork tenderloin," she wrote, "though it looked like there was a chance she would sneak past chef Antonia Lofaso, whose shrimp and grits did not go over well, either."
Local chef Mike Isabella, formerly of Jose Andres' Zaytinya and his own forthcoming Graffiato, is now the only D.C. chef in the final four.
Here's a video of Hall and fellow Top Chef All Star Spike Mendelsohn talking about last season, which was filmed in D.C.
