Gerri Mason Hall played role in hiring Sulaimon Brown

Gerri Mason Hall, Mayor Vincent Gray's former chief of staff, played a direct role in appointing Sulaimon Brown to an administration job, according to testimony during a D.C. Council hearing, the Washington Examiner reports.
Hall, whom Gray fired earlier this month, was blamed Monday for early mistakes made by the administration, according to the Examiner.
The hearings were conducted by Ward 3 Councilwoman Mary Cheh and meant to get answers on the accusations of nepotism and cronyism in the Gray administration.
