Leggett wants bag tax for Montgomery County
Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett is planning on officially proposing a five-cent bag tax next week, the Montgomery County Gazette reports.

Leggett says he would expect the proposed tax to bring in about $1 million in the first year.
The Washington Examiner says that an Americans for Tax Reform study found that the D.C. bag tax was ineffective.
