March 2, 2011 - 02:36 pm
Mayor Vincent Gray has expressed interest in meeting with leaders of the D.C. Student Alliance about their concerns over harsh new noise law penalties, the Georgetown Voice reports.
The Alliance sent a letter signed by student leaders from Georgetown, American, Catholic, Howard, George Washington and UDC to Mayor Gray expressing concern over enforcement of the law.
"We are in pressing need of further clarification in order to properly disseminate information to our students," the letter states.
Georgetown University students have already been vocal about their opposition to the law.
