Potholes riddle D.C. region
A monster pothole made for some big problems on southbound I-395 on Tuesday. But it’s not just I-395 that has drivers bouncing.
Pothole riddle roads all around the Metro area. It’s a sure sign that Spring has sprung.
Repair shops suddenly see a rush of business from road damage. B.T Gursed, a mechanic, said sometimes shocks get broken. And tires get big bumps inside them.
In Arlington, ABC7 caught up with a road crew as it finished its final repair for the day. The crew still had plenty of pot holes to fill, but it ran out of asphalt.
“Today we used a full two tons, two tons of asphalt,” said Samaria Vaughan of the Arlington County road repair.
Since repair crews can’t keep pace with the rapidly multiplying pot holes, motorists will likely just have to deal with them for the next few weeks.
