UDC president to testify before D.C. Council over travel expenses
March 8, 2011 - 11:01 am
UPDATE 11:08 a.m.: The hearing has been recessed because Sessoms apparently forgot to bring copies of his testimony for each council member.
University of District of Columbia president Allen Sessoms is about to testify before the D.C. Council Tuesday amid allegations he’s mismanaged school funds.
A report by FOX 5 claims Sessoms used taxpayer money to pay for expensive trips to Egypt and England, but he denies doing anything wrong.
Sessoms’ testimony comes one day after announcing he will reimburse the university for his travel expenses.
Check back for updates or tune in to ABC7 News at noon for a full report from ABC7’s Sam Ford on the hearing.
