The D.C. Housing Authority owes about $10,000 in unpaid parking tickets issued to its agency vehicles, according to documents obtained by The Washington Examiner.
Ward 6 Councilman Tommy Wells requested the information on the housing authority as part of his committee's review of city vehicle purchasing policies, according to the Examiner.
Housing officials are the latest city agency revealed to owe thousands of dollars in parking tickets. Last month, about 90 vehicles owned and operated by the D.C. Department of Public Works have racked up nearly a combined $30,000 in unpaid parking tickets.
