Michael Allen Rollison charged with DUI in traffic accident, father dies
Michael Allen Rollison, 43, has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after authorities said he caused a traffic accident that killed his father Saturday, LoudounTimes.com reports.
This is Rollison’s third DUI in the last 10 years.
Rollison was driving north on Harper’s Ferry Road near Butts Lane around 2 p.m. when deputies said his 1990 Ford Bronco rear-ended a 2006 Kia Sorento driving in the same direction.
His father, Ronnie Lewis Miller, 63, was in the passenger seat of the Bronco and suffered serious injuries. Miller was eventually taken to Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W. Va. where he died from his injuries.
Neither Rollison nor Miller was wearing their seatbelts during the crash, deputies said. However, Rollison was not injured in the crash.
The driver of the Kia, David Norris, 69, and his wife were wearing seatbelts and were also uninjured.
Rollison is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
