Report: Paul Hewitt, former Georgia Tech coach, hired as new George Mason head coach

George Mason has hired former Georia Tech coach Paul Hewitt as their new head coach, Jeff Goodman of FoxSports.com reports.
Hewitt will replace longtime coach Jim Larranaga, who left Fairfax for the open job at the University of Miami earlier this month.
Georgia Tech went to the 2004 national championship game under the direction of Hewitt, the highlight of his 11 seasons coaching the Yellow Jackets.
He went 190-162 during those 11 years.
