Deandrew Hamlin, suspect in American University professor murder, indicted

Deandrew Hamlin, a suspect in the murder of American University professor Sue Ann Marcum, has been indicted for unlawfully using Marcum's stolen Jeep, WTOP reports.

Sources told WTOP, however, that the Montgomery County State Attorney's Office chose not to charge Hamlin with the car's theft.

By not charging Hamlin with theft, prosecutors avoid having to disclose any evidence they have gathered against him as Marcum's suspected murderer.

No one has been charged with Marcum's murder.
