Virginia Assembly OKs state rep on Metro board

The Virginia General Assembly has approved a budget amendment from Gov. Bob McDonnell appointing a state representative to the Metro Board of Directors, the Washington Examiner reports.
The Northern Virginia Transportation Commission which picks Virginia’s four representatives to the board, will be charged with appoint the state transportation secretary or his designee to the Metro board, according to the Examiner.
