Alexandria approves restricted street parking near Mark Center
May 15, 2011 - 11:34 am
The Alexandria City Council voted unanimously to impose street parking restrictions near Mark Center on Saturday, WTOP reports.
The restrictions will be imposed in a large section of the city's west end starting on Sept. 15. The move was made in response to the concern of residents over the influx of traffic that will come during the BRAC relocation.
A special permit will be required to park in restricted areas between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Violators will receive a $40 ticket.
