Donovan McNabb will not be going to the Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals are not interested in Washington Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb, the Arizona Republic reports.
McNabb attended an unofficial offseason workout hosted by Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald. McNabb, who lives in Chandler, said that he enjoys the "low profile" of the workouts, which included no current NFL coaches or officials.
"The next couple years, we'll see what happens," he said. "Who knows where I'll be anyway? I'm looking forward to that and when that time comes, step in there and be ready to go."
The next step for McNabb may be the Minnesota Vikings, who have expressed interest in the veteran QB to lead the team while first-round draft pick Christian Ponder waits in the wings.
The Redskins are expected to rely on John Beck, who Coach Mike Shanahan called his "number one" guy.
