Let's Move: Michelle Obama dances at middle school (Video)

Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” campaign has centered around a very specific message to American children: eat right and take time some time to exercise. Since 2009, she has made this the cornerstone of her tenure as first lady. But the lesson taken from her visit to Alice Deal Middle School on Tuesday was quite different. The first lady can bust a move.

Obama started out a bit apprehensive, but hit her stride, ironically, doing the “running man” to Beyonce's "Move Your Body." And while she looked like she was having fun doing the “jump rope,” she lost some style points for entering the world of “the Dougie.”

DCist was not too impressed with the first lady's moves, writing: "everyone even remotely involved with politics in this town is just really, really terrible at dancing." Are they right? Are all politicians bad at dancing?

In 2007, then-candidate Barack Obama let loose on the stage of "Ellen," even though Michelle later upstaged her husband, saying that she was the better dancer.

Democrats aren't the only dancers. George W. Bush danced, too:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton wasn't immune to dancing either. The former first lady got down in Cape Town during a 2009 visit.

What do you think? Can politicians actually dance?
