Stephen Strasburg, Nationals star, may throw off mound soon

Stephen Strasburg's recovery from Tommy John surgery is progressing, and the rookie sensation is close to hitting a significant milestone, the Washington Post reports.
Strasburg, who underwent surgery in September to completely replace an important ligament in his pitching arm, started throwing at the end of January. The next step is the most important step on the road to Nationals Park, as Strasburg will need to re-develop his pitching mechanics. What follows is a lot of throwing, building up to in-game pitching.
The Post noted that it takes about five months from throwing off a mound to being ready to pitch in the MLB.
