Terrorism in D.C.: Washington area still not prepared

After the region's disastrous handling of the Jan. 26 snowstorm, officials are questioning how well-prepared the area is in the event of a terrorist attack, reports the Washington Examiner.

Falls Church Vice Mayor David F. Snyder said that the snowstorm brought to light the "disjointed decision making" and "inconsistent, confusing and sometimes contradictory information" sent to residents.

Drivers in the region ignored warnings to stay off the roads, leading to large traffic jams.

Officials stressed that a single, unified message will be key in the event of a terrorist attack.
