Bob McDonnell approval rating at 55 percent
June 30, 2011 - 08:46 am
Bob McDonnell got a solid grade on his latest report card. In the latest poll released by Quinnipiac University, 55 percent of respondents said they approve of the job that the Virginia governor is doing.
The marks don't exactly reflect an overwhelming support of his policies; only 48 percent of respondents support those policies. McDonnell's approval ratings are bolstered by strong support from Republicans (77 percent) and independents (59 percent). Politics aside, 57 percent of respondents said they like him personally, whatever that means.
