Fat Tire comes to D.C. as New Belgium Brewery begins distribution
Sweet summer's end will welcome the arrival of a host of Belgian-inspired beers from, Colorado-based, New Belgium Brewery.
The third largest craft brewery in the country, home to the lightly hopped, deliciously sweet Fat Tire, has signed contracts with 17 distributors in Maryland, D.C. and Virginia.
The brewery plans to offer Fat Tire, Ranger IPA and its seasonal Hoptober in 22-ounce bombers starting Aug. 22. Trippel and Lips of Faith beers will be available at some distributors in draft and 12-oz packages.
Distributors include Miller/Coors, Anheuser Busch/Inbev, and Specialty of Virginia, an independent company based out of Richmond. Though not yet on the menu, New Belgium also producers other brews such as Sunshine Wheat, Blue Paddle Pilsner, 1554 Black Ale, Abbey and Mothership Wit.
A relief from the sweltering summer heat for beer lovers, unless you live in Montgomery County.
