Peaceoholics: Documentary about Peaceoholics coming soon
Peaceoholics will become a movie?
That’s what American University graduate student Michael Lindley and his colleague Anthony Greene says will happen.
The organization that promotes a drug-free and crime-free environment will be part of a documentary produced by Lindley and Greene.
The two have already begun pre-production of the film, and they plan to explore gang intervention and gang rivalries. It will also take the audiences into the rise and fall of the organization.
According to the Washington City Paper, skeptics may have some concern about the production of the film because of past government scandals, but things have lightened up recently especially with the recent announcement that co-founder of Peaceoholics Ron Moten will run for District Council.
He’s always been an advocate and is hopeful that the documentary, which should be shot and edited in under a year, will bring vindication.
"They tried to say we spent money. We took money. Now they'll have to exonerate us," Moten told City Paper.
