Ryan Zimmerman returns, going 1-for-5, in Nationals 8-6 win

The Washington Nationals received some good news and some bad news Tuesday.

Ryan Zimmerman returned from a 58-day trip to the disabled list, and showed why he was an integral part of the lineup. In the bottom of the 7th, with the Nats down 6-2, the third baseman sparked a 6-run rally with a double.

The Nats will be losing Adam LaRoche for the rest of the season, though. The slugger will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery after being diagnosed with a torn labrum. Mike Morse is expected to fill in for LaRoche for the rest of the season.
