Summer evenings in Shaw will soon welcome conversation over locally brewed beers and homemade ice cream dished from the counter. Shaw's Tavern public house is opening on the corner of 6th Street and Florida Avenue NW on July 1st.
The local tavern will feature DC Brau brews, alongside a total of eight beers on tap, and a multitude of bottles. A wine list will feature wines from small artisan vineyards.
The brick bar and wood-tiled floors has seating for 65 to 70 indoors, 15 to 18 on the sidewalk patio and additional seating on the rooftop deck, to open late summer.
Mouthwatering delights grace the menu — Sweet Potato Chips, Almond Torte, Fresh Wild Chilled Grilled Salmon and Fat Iron Steak with Yorkshire Pudding are just a few.
A cozy pub, card games on the rooftop and craft brews in the depth of summer — comforting in the bustle of this busy city.
