Virginia tornado 2011: McDonnell courts SBA for aid

The April 2011 tornado outbreak, which killed 10 and damaged hundreds of homes, is still unresolved in the affected areas. After being denied federal aid by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, residents are struggling to ways to rebuild their lives.
Now, Gov. Bob McDonnell is courting the Small Business Administration to provide aid to affected locals in the southern areas of the commonwealth. Unlike FEMA direct aid, the SBA would provide low-interest loans.
