Top Chef's Voltaggio brothers cookbook coming soon

Top Chef contestants and Maryland natives Bryan and Michael Voltaggio are teaming up with Williams-Sonoma for VOLT ink., the brothers' first cookbook, Washingtonian reports.
The title is derived from VOLT, Bryan’s Frederick-based restaurant, which received a James Beard nomination for Best New Restaurant in 2009, and ink., Michael’s forth-coming Melrose-based, omakase-style restaurant set to open in July.
Lily, nightstand, mammal, and avian — categories in the cookbook — are reminiscent of a summer affair. Publishers Marketplace says the 300-page cookbook, set to launch in October, has “ingredient-driven recipes, personal experiences, [and] modern culinary techniques,” according to Eater DC. Though the eloquence of the multi-part recipes may be too advanced for the ordinary eater, the personal stories — about their sibling rivalry, perhaps? — may be worth the read.
