World Trade Center: Pr. William County recieves artifacts

Artifacts from the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks will be installed at Freedom Park in Prince William County. It was announced Thursday at a press conference that the four rusted steel beams from the World Trade Center will be in Prince William County.
Prince William County Board Chairman Corey Stewart said that the county was one of 800 communities on a waiting list and some areas weren’t successful in getting any memorable pieces from the attacks. Twenty-two residents died that day, which was more than any other jurisdiction in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
Stewart told InsideNoVa that the sight of these artifacts are “gut-wrenching.” See for yourself:
