In this morning's addition to our exhausting dog coverage, a man's house catches fire when he tries to burn his dead dog.
Smoke was billowing from the front of a two-story home on the 4500-block of Kingston Road in Dale City, Va., on Wednesday morning. When firefighters arrived, flames were coming from the rear of the house, extending to the attic.
The man was trying to cremate his dead Rottweiler on a pile of wood in the backyard, and was using accelerant for the fire, according to the Prince William fire department. The accelerant pooled near the house, caught fire, and voilà! An estimated $70,000 in damage.
The idea of burning a dead pet might disgust some of you, but hey, worse things happen.
