Orly Taitz' lawsuit in birther case displays 'her own stupidity,' says judge

Birther and lawyer-slash-dentist extraordinaire Dr. Orly Taitz has taken her eternal quest to "prove" that President Obama isn't a real American to Washington, D.C., where she is being laughed out of the courtroom. Again.

First, some backstory: A dentist turned real estate agent turned lawyer from California, Taitz has filed numerous lawsuits against Obama since 2008. Each and every one of those cases has been thrown out. The actions of Taitz have been called "improper and unethical" by one federal judge, who also wrote, "This Court exercised extreme patience when Taitz endangered this case being heard at all by failing to properly file and serve the complaint upon Defendants..." Another judge said Taitz' professional conduct was "willful and not merely negligent. It demonstrates bad faith on her part. As an attorney, she is deemed to have known better."

In her most recent legal sortie, Taitz sued the Social Security Administration under the Freedom of Information Act because she believes Obama is using a fraudulent Social Security number. As the Post reports, though, she keeps redacting the wrong digits in court pleadings:

Local court rules state that people must redact all but the last four digits of social security numbers included in court filings. Instead, Taitz kept redacting the last four digits.

A frustrated Royce C. Lamberth, the presiding U.S. District Court judge, wrote that Taitz was “either toying with the Court or displaying her own stupidity." Seems pretty clear to us that it's the latter.
