Starbucks unveils new cups, trenta size

In Italian, "trenta" means "30." In the marketing department at Starbucks, it means "more refreshment." And in practice it means 31 — ounces.

That's the size of the new trenta cup that will debut tomorrow at locations in the Northeast U.S. (for iced coffee and teas only). Starbucks says it's catering to demand: About 60 percent of iced tea customers order the 24-ounce venti. Seven ounces larger than the venti, the trenta holds more liquid than the human stomach. So the drink will cost you not only an arm and a leg, but a stomach, too! The mid-drink bathroom break, meanwhile, comes free of charge.
