Joe Biden, in China, makes the Georgetown Hoyas his first stop

- Biden does not understand why this man is holding up his iPad.
Vice President Joe Biden traveled all the way across the world to watch a college basketball team that practices mere blocks from his D.C. home. OK, maybe he's also in China to convince our country's biggest lender that America's economic policies — and politicians — aren't really as whack as they seem.
But the first thing he did when he arrived, fresh off a 21-hour flight, was head to a Beijing gym to watch the Georgetown Hoyas play its first game of a Chinese tour. The Times reports:
Mr. Biden took a seat in the front row behind the visitors’ bench, to the applause of dozens of Georgetown fans, according to a pool report. Mr. Biden, a devotee of the sport, told reporters that he had received many requests from the Georgetown community to attend.
Coach John Thompson III was pleased. After the game, he said, "We were excited and honored to have the vice president ... travel 24 hours to see us play, along with the many, countless Chinese politicians and delegates that came to watch their team play, as well as ours."
The Hoyas beat the Shanxi Brave Dragons, 98-81, saving Biden from further embarrassment over the current state of American society.
