Pentagon City employees busted for stealing products
August 2, 2011 - 01:00 pm
The Metro Transit Police have figured out where many of those Apple devices stolen on trains last year ended up: Pentagon City Mall.
According to police, a number of wireless kiosk stores have been purchasing stolen iPhones and laptops, then reselling them — not, we hope, to cops. Three workers at the stores were arrested after a sting operation. The ring wasn't limited to electronics; the suspects also allegedly told cops that they could get car parts and switch Vehicle Identification Numbers.
