Washington Redskins charge $9 for beer now

It's going to be slightly more expensive to get drunk at Redskins games this year. City Paper's Dave McKenna reports that, according to a fan message board, the price of beer from FedEx Field vendors has gone up a buck, to $9. Some fans say this will hurt the vendors, who collect money from tips in addition to a 10-percent commission on sales. RFK Lives writes:
The vendors are probably taking a bigger hit because when it was $8, I would give a $10, they keep the change, $2, now, their tip from most people will be cut in half.
SonnyandSam responds:
Sad thing is I see more people NOT TIPPING than I see tipping. These guys live off the tips. All the cheapskates are doing is paying Danny money for the beer.
Apparently, you can still get an $8 beer at the concession stand, but is it worth climbing over people and waiting in line for? Of course not, and Dan Snyder knows that.
