Andi Pringle, Mayor Gray's new deputy chief of staff, voted in D.C. while living in Maryland
September 2, 2011 - 10:13 am
On Tuesday, Mayor Vince Gray announced two new hires, and it's taken only this long for a minor scandal to emerge. Last year, Andrea "Andi" Pringle, Gray's new deputy chief of staff, voted in the D.C. Democratic primary. Problem is, she was living in Montgomery County at the time.
Pringle admitted that she voted while not living in the District because she "had not severed ties with [her] community nor established residency in Maryland." The error was caught by DC Watch's Dorothy Brizill, who told the Post she was surprised the Gray administration didn't properly vet Pringle, adding, "I can do this in 15 minutes."
So much for turning the page on those hiring scandals!
