Next time your visiting relatives insist on staying with you "because hotels don't allow pets," point them to this: D.C.'s Hotel Palomar ranked fourth on TripAdvisor's list of the most pet-friendly hotels in America. The Dupont Circle spot offers free pet beds and disposable pick-up bags, and pets get a treat during the nightly wine hour. "Free" is a relative term, though; a room costs anywhere between $180 to more than $500 per night.
