David Alpert demands to know why no one aggregated David Alpert
October 7, 2011 - 03:40 pm
David Alpert, the editor-in-chief of Greater Greater Washington, broke the news yesterday that there won't be streetcar tracks on the 11th Street Bridge (for now, anyway). He felt that this was a big, important story, and he could not understand, when he woke up this morning, why HuffPost DC was the only local news site to pick up on it. Then he threw a tantrum on Twitter, demanding to know why DCist, City Paper, the Post, and TBD ignored it. As it turned out, City Paper and the Post had indeed linked to his story, and then DCist and TBD, either out of fear or shame, promptly aggregated it. The lesson here being: Pay attention to David Alpert, or he will bully you on Twitter until you do.
