Enter our second annual Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest

Thanksgiving is over, and now you're fat. What better way to conceal this fact than with an ugly, ill-fitting sweater? Let its bulkiness hide your weight gain, and its hideous pattern — rather than your new paunch — elicit laughter. Or here's a thought: Hit the treadmill and send that sweater to us, for the second annual Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest!
The winning entrants will receive a gift bag and, even better, get to see someone other than themselves be embarrassed by their ugly sweater: NewsChannel 8 meteorologist Brian van de Graaff will wear a winning sweater on air all Friday, Dec. 23, while Katherine Amenta and Melanie Hastings will wear two other winners on the morning show, from 5 – 9 a.m.
Enter by sending your photo to uglysweater@tbd.com, or by tweeting it (be sure to mention @TBD, so we see it) by 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16. Then we'll hold an audience vote beginning Monday, Dec. 19 until noon on Wednesday, Dec. 21. We'll need the three winning sweaters delivered to our studio in Rosslyn by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22. (We might also be able to arrange a pickup.)
Bear in the mind that your sweater might not be in exactly the same condition as you left it, depending on how easily Brian, Melanie and Katherine can fit into it. Oh, and if you're wondering what it takes to win this grueling, competitive contest, check out last year's winners and losers. Good luck!
