MARYLAND'S TRANS ANTi-DISCRIMINATION BILL has died in the Senate.

DR. RUTH was a sniper.

AFTER THE JUMP: Prince William County Public Schools ban LGBT websites; God is a man; appreciate your "girlfriends" by buying stuff; boys who are cursed by affluence:

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Prince William County Public Schools draw fire from ACLU for censoring LGBT websites; Marylanders discuss why they simply must continue discriminating against trans people; choose your own D.C. restitution adventure!

APPARENTLY questioning whether defining God in exclusively masculine terms (He, Father, King of Kings) has a little something to do with the subjugation of women in Western religion and all societies based on it is not an acceptable line of inquiry for scholars within the Catholic Church.

TOMORROW is "Girlfriends Appreciation Day," Essence magazine's new ploy to monetize female friendship. Appreciate your girlfriend with a trip to the spa, the mall, a fancy restaurant, and of course, a copy of Essence's "first-ever Girlfriends Issue." A great way to spend off the annual bummer of Equal Pay Day!

BOYS cursed by affluence: Is wealth and privilege really "equally harmful" to the development of young men as poverty and racism is?

IN OTHER MADE-UP DAYS NEWS: Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays have launched an Ex-Gay Day of Silence as an alternative to the National Day of Silence. The original Day of Silence uses "silence to protest the actual silencing of LGBT people due to harassment, bias and abuse in schools." In the pro-ex-gay take on the day, PFOX "is urging parents, students and educators to distribute their literature at high schools and colleges across America. This literature communicates the truth regarding bullying and gender confusion and can help the plight of ex-gays who themselves are often the victims of harassment by those our schools are claiming to protect."
