America's got a spending problem. That's the message from one non-profit group that wants to see Congress cut spending drastically, before lawmakers raise the debt ceiling. In a new tv ad, Public Notice compares Washington's spending habits to a drug addict, saying lawmakers could learn from an addict's mistakes.

Gretchen Hamel, executive director of Public Notice, explains the commercial, its other campaign on metro buses and what she'd like to see from Congress before the August 2nd deadline.
