Cybersecurity legislation cleared a key procedural hurdle in the Senate on Thursday. The bill is designed to protect critical U.S. industries and other corporate networks from electronic espionage.
To win enough GOP support, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and others made several changes to the bill. Some argue it's now a water-down version of its former self.
